Mounting weights
Hi all

If an EQ mount is rated at 17kg, does that mean the OTA can be 17kg or the OTA plus counterweights can go upto 17kg?

I knowof EQmount weight limits but have never understood it. Can anyone please clarify.

It means the OTA can be 17KG's but if doing imaging I would recommend max 2/3 of the mount rating at most.
