HD Video and Audio of Shuttle Launch (STS-117 & STS-127)

I was sent this amazing link today of video form cameras mounted on the SRB's of STS-117 & STS-127. What is amazing is the audio remiexed by Skywalker Sound. Turn it up LOUD!

Amazing some of the stuff in there from a technical point of view. Lovelly damping of the launch rotation at 45 sec. (I never knew it overshot from the previous videos you often see).

Amazing how both SRB's land near each other and what looks like Nasa guys in boats in the background nearby to collect them (hurry up b4 someone else gets em!).

And to think the engineers back in the 70's (probably) didn't have this level of "visual" feedback to ensure that a launch was successful. Relying on no doubt moutains of calculations and permutations/combinations of what could go wrong (and without the computing power of today without an enormous budget).

Thanks for showing us!! Quite frankly I would love to see it as an IMax type short video with the sound a key part.

And on a related note... for the audio hoons amongst us...
You can listen to arguably the best audio recording ever made of
a shuttle launch on CD here:

You need to have some serious audio kit to do it justice,
but, you know... just putting it out there.

From memory, the master recording attempts to capture as
much of the audio spectrum (at the mic position) as possible.
We're talking 145db 1/8th Hz which is probably enough to precipitate
a violation of your underwear.

Help me out here people... SRB separation is a around 150,000 feet altitude and I assume there is still air at this altitude for audio waves to transfer to the microphone?
