Finally managed to get back out and do some more imaging. Did the usual visual rounds early in the night Saturn, M42, tried 47 Tucanae but is getting too low for me so thought I'd try the Tarantula for the first time - nice little nebula.
Started imaging around 2am but only managed to get a dozen or so avi's of Jupiter before the clouds came rolling in.

There's been discussion on the SACimaging Yahoo group about one of the guys using high gain + short exposures rather then the more commonly used low gain + longer exposure settings - they were talking about DSO objects though ->
High gain shots but thought I'd give it a try anyway... 100% gain with shutter at about 1/1000th sec. Focus was a little off unfortunately, not the best but still better then my first few attempts from last year....
