Mars from Melbourne this morning March 13

Hi guys,

Have not posted for a long time. Have been watching with interest all the amazing images of Mars and Saturn that you all have been posting.

Mars this morning at about 1:30am taken with my 12.5" f/5 and Skynyx 2.0 camera in typical Melbourne conditions 5-6/10 at best. About 800 R.G,B frames staked. Good to see the Red planet again after a long time.

Nicely detailed image. I am finding Mars tends to be easier to image and less forgiving of seeing conditions. This is mainly because most of the detail is in the red channel which does transmit easier through the atmosphere.

Thanks again for all the kind comments guys. In admiration to all the amazing images you're all posting on IIS. Let's hope the weather improves. In typical fashion it's raining in Melbourne!
