12" GSO dob with PHOTOS!-SOLD-

Due to my soon to arrive 16" mirror,
I have to part with my 12" GSO dob to raise some funds.

Details as follows:

12" GSO dob,
Crayford focuser upgrade
Mirror fan
Fully flocked tube
Lumicon 50mm RA super finder
Lumicon NGC-Max skyvector installed with 4000 encoders.
Box has been heavily strengthened and stiffened from original.
Teflon centre washer installed
Light shroud
Wood handle for movement of tube
assorted new GSO plossl Ep's
Have original shipping box for tube
There is some slight scuff marks on the tube, mainly from transport in the car to dark skies, but nothing a touch up pen wouldnt fix.

I'm looking at around $1000 ono + post for all this.
Thanks for looking

Mark

Yes , should do. All encoders basically come from the same factory.

Well ... very interesting!
I was going to order a new scope this week ..... 10" probably ..... might be able to stretch the budget a bit for all that value gear.

I'll watch this spot........

The skyvector are "digital setting circles", which is a computer controlled "push-to" system. The encoders can sense where the telescope is pointing, so when you want to find something you punch it into the hand held interface and it tells you where to push the scope to find the object.

It certinally looks like a Gueng Sheng and they are supposed to have very good mirrors, Meade are using them for their Light Bridge aren't they?

Correct, it's a GS scope and the GS mirrors are good quality for the money that you pay.
