how to use tak reducer?

i just got a new (newtonian) takahashi scope
everything works beautifully, but one thing: it came with a reducer, but the thing is it will only thread into the focuser, and nothing supplied threads into it (eyepiece holder, other bits) The extender works like a charm but the reducer is problematic.the reducer came with an apparently useless piece(i later realized that is for a cap).I have supplied pics here. https://drive.google.com/drive/folde...U0?usp=sharing

Check out this link: http://www.takahashijapan.com/ct-pro...MT160_main.pdf I think you will find that the reducer is part 18 .

Welcome to the Takiverse Logan.

I've got one and love it. But beware: Takahashi have an adaptor for almost everything. You want to attach almost anything and you'll need (sometimes expensive) adaptors.

You want you gaze on your Tak in wonder at it' sheer beauty (I sometimes do) I bet Tak have an adaptor for that too

It's a Cornucopia of joy, or Pandora's Box - depending on your temperament and budget...

Get used to interpreting Japanese and Tak's initially bewildering adaptor/optical diagrams.

There's almost a sadistic pleasure welcoming a newcomer to the Takiverse

The coupling (#10) is an important part as it needed to attach the various visual and photographic accessories. I'm surprised it didn't come with the OTA. Who did you buy it from?, they may still have it.

Out of interest who did you buy it from? Sorry to hear of your difficulties. If you bought from a member here the vast majority are excellent. No doubt everything will be resolved easily.
