A couple of Galactic Clusters
From last night, testing the calibration and tracking of the G-11 mount.
NGC 2516 and NGC 3532 in Carina.
NGC 2516, 20 x 120 seconds, ISO 800, 5 x Darks, 5 x Bias. Focused and taken with DSLR Focus, combined and slight process in ImagesPlus 2.75
NGC 3532, 10 x 100 seconds, 5 x Darks, 5 x Bias, details as above.
Takahashi FS-102 @ f/6, Canon 350D (Unmodded). Autoguided with ZS-80 and ST-4.
Ambient temp. 14.5, Humidity, 75%, Seeing 8/10, Wind, calm.

Just did the auto combine and proccess of the Lights, Darks and Bias, a little bit of Digital Proccessing, they were taken mainly to see how the G-11 was tracking using the ST-4, I was happy with the result so I posted them.

did you use digital development on the image to bring out more stars?

Nice shots John. Thanks for jogging my memory, we had a bit of a binocular view of both those clusters last night as well out at Astroron's. I particularly like 2516 stuck out there all on its own. 3532 is spectacular but 2516 just seems to hang there in space.

Thanks Paul, I like 2516, those 3 orange stars really stand out. Galactic clusters make for good photos as well.
