Rainbow Lorikeets are back

Last year I had a bunch of them coming for the palm trees flowers and took a couple of shots with my mobile phone that were pretty bad. This year I managed to take some shots, still pretty bad in low light

Still you can see some of them in the tree eating the beans like fruits. They make a bloody mess but they look very colorful and beautiful.

That was with the NEX-5 and Pentax 200mm on top. Manual focus as it's a prime unfortunately. As you can tell I don't do much photo besides astro.

Nice to have some wildlife even if they make a mess and a bit of noise, Marc! Around here we have Kookaburras and students

Hi Marc

The Lorikeets expression in photo #5 is an absolute cracker! The nostrils look like tiny eyes.

Cheers

LOL - Yeah I don't mind wildlife as long as it's colorful and doesn't blanket myc ar in s||t. I don't like the pigeons too much though. The Lorikeet are getting friendlier. I can now go around the tree and thy won't fly away. Gotta try a ladder next
