Televue Ethos 21mm eyepiece.

Televue Ethos 21mm eyepiece.
Televue Ethos 21mm
Top condition.hardly used
Save plenty off new price.(new price at Bintel $879)
Its a massive eyepiece. You get plenty of glass for your money.
Focal Length: 21mm. Apparent Field: 100°Eye Relief: 15mm ,Barrel Size: 2"
Since all Ethos models accept Dioptrx, you now also have the Excellent Feature – the ability to compensate for your own eyesight astigmatism with a superb multi-coated lens providing your exact correction, rotation orientation and centration over the eyepiece.
You Get the original televue case and Instructions.
You're not just getting extra FOV with the Ethos, you're also getting top notch optical performance too - I'd say the Ethos is a step up from the majority of the Nagler series in that respect, probably all, and especially for on-axis performance.
It's the sharpness and contrast that really impress once you've used them for a little while and aren't thinking about the FOV. The Ethos simply don't have the warmer tone that the Naglers have.

Maximize your spacewalk experience with the 21mm Tele Vue Ethos Telescope Eyepiece. Transform your passage through the Milky Way with this telescope eyepiece's nexus of contrast, power and field. Larger deep sky objects and rich star fields are its natural playground. Looking on-axis, your field-of-vision is filled with 100 degree of stars; however, wherever you choose to concentrate your attention, you'll see sharpness and richer contrast.
Extending the Ethos' focal length range to 21mm while maintaining the original performance goals of the rest of the series brings the eyepiece up against the mechanical limits of the 2-inch barrel and focus constraints. The 21mm provides the maximum true field of view, has no significant vignetting at the edge of the field, and is parfocal with the 31mm Nagler Type 5.
This must be a first: the first second hand ethos 21mm to be sold on Ice in Space

She's been a good eyepiece to me and it will be sad to let her go.

  • Unprecedented 100° apparent field of view telescope eyepiece takes the spacewalk experience to the next level
  • Field of view is 50% larger than 82° Tele Vue Nagler eyepieces
  • High power and enormous field of view serves up a large image with darker sky background
  • Incredibly sharp across the entire 100° eyepiece apparent field of view
Price: $760 including postage (remember Bintel has them for sale at $879.00)
