The usual overnight cloud was about again last night but it cleared off at around 5am so I had an hour or so of imaging. The presence of the cloud prevents Canberra cooling down properly so the seeing is normally bad on nights like this, and this morning the seeing was probably only 5/10 at best. Very unsteady.
Still there are lots of interesting things to see, especially the grey clouds encircling the GRS and cutting through it, and also Ganymede and a transit of Io.
Nice Anthony, shame you haven't got the good seeing yet. We had that cloud too, but I had enough clear breaks for 16 runs up until about 5am - after that, Jupiter goes behind a tree high in the west and I lose it for the rest of the day.
Have only done a trial run through registax of each of the avi's, some good detail present so hopefully i'll be able to make an animation again.. it's going to take me all week to process 16 avi's though! plus some Saturn comparisons last night.

what is the cm1 cm2 and how do you work out UT.
I had emailed damian peach as he is the contact for alpo work and I have to put these on the images.
I can't wait to finish mine to put next to yours to compare my great seeing to your poor seeing and also the extra detail you will get with your camera etc. Your stuff is a great bar to chase.
I was at f38.5 last night, what did yours work out to?
Hi Davo, good to see the cooling stuff is working ok for you. There's a website somewhere that will calculate the CM1 and CM2 times, can't remember it off the top of my head but google would find it.
UT is easy, just subtract 11 hours (10 when we are off daylight saving). The times in the image are in UT, I've decided to use that now instead of local time. It makes it easier for other people.
I would have been at 5.5 x 6 (approximately), so about F/33 or so.
Looks like it might be a clear night tonight, so I'm trying again :-)
