Question LCD screen for photographic work

Hi all,

I am in the process of purchasing a new PC, my 5 year old laptop is causing me a bit too much grief.

I'm struggling to find up to date reviews of LCD monitors. I would like a good one which can be easily colour match and have good clarity. I do a lot of photography work, not just astrophotography.

Can anyone point me to some reviews? Or recommend a LCD with either a review/specs to back it up or first hand experience?

I'm looking for 22" - 24". Budget up to $500.

The shop has recommended: Hewlett Packard 2405WG 24”

Thanks,
Roger.

Have you looked at the nec spectraview range?

You should be able to find a 22" nec for the price you are looking for.

They are a professional monitor designed to be calibrated.

If you google them you will find plenty of reviews (photographic based).

I have some scientific articles on their old models but nothing on the current models.

I should add that I have seen the nec's used in many medical imaging departments with great results.

Regards

Scott
