Hi All,
Imaged Mars & Saturn this morning in variable & quiet fast seeing that never rose above 6/10.
I have posted 1 RGB & 807nm IR data set of Mars, I continue to be most impressed with how Autostakkert 2 handles quality estimation, multi point alignment & stacking of avi data.
I continued on over to Saturn and initially was not going to bother. I usually capture 16bit FIT files of Saturn but have been keen to try some avi Saturn data in Autostakkert 2.
I captured 1 RGB & 807nm IR data avi data set
The R channel was pretty reasonable but the G & B channels were subpar. Considering the questionable quality of what went in, the result really surprised me.
An interesting aside regarding the colour balance. The avi data was captured with the exact same settings that I normally use for capturing FIT file data but the result looks quite different colour wise.
Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor
Thanks to all for the comments, have been snowed under capturing and processing some very nice data from this morning.
Lester the "P" labels the preceding limb, the other limb could be labeled "F" for following. Due to the different orientations of the image with different types of scopes the people I send my data to prefer this rather than the possibility of wrongly labeled East or West which can be confusing for them with data coming from many amateurs around the world.
