Bobs Knobs for CPC1100

For Sale
Bob's Knobs for Celestron CPC-1100.
For those who like to collimate.

Personally, I never needed to collimate my CPC1100, thus these are Brand New and have never been installed.
These sell new for around $29 Plus postage in Australia.

For Sale at $17 (includes postage within Australia)

IIS Review:
You will find the Bobs Knobs easy to use in the dark as they are easy to feel rather than messing around with an allen key. Also trying to use an allen key in the dark whilst not bumping your scope around is a pain in the bum.. Bobs knobs will make you collimation very simple and painless..

Only tip with collimation is little adjustments (very small).
And when putting in the Bobs knobs, only do one know at a time so the secondary mirror stays attached. If you remove all the screws at once the Secondary may fall off onto the primary mirror..

Clarification

Still available.

Celestron Owners, please note:
This model of bob's Knobs are specifically for a CPC1100.

This may not and probably doesn't, fit other C11 models.

1. C11 Std: To fit all Celestron 11 inch (28 cm) f/10 SCT versions (metal or carbon fiber tube) with flat secondary housing and standard 6-32 collimation screw threads (not for CPC 1100). Most C11's prior to 2006.

2. C11 Met: to fit Celestron 11 inch (28 cm) f/10 SCT versions with flat or Trifid Fastar secondary housing and metric M3 screw threads (CPC 1100).

3. C11fst: To fit all Celestron 11 inch (28 cm) f/10 SCT versions (metal or carbon fiber tube) with "Trifid" rotary cover Fastar secondary housing and standard collimation screw threads. These knobs will also fit the C11 with Starizona Hyperstar.

The ones for sale here are type 2. above.
If in doubt (and to be sure) please see the Bobs Knobs site:
at http://www.bobsknobs.com/Celestron/Celestron.htm
where they have photos of the different scope types because I think
you need to have the right thread type and the right screw length.

Allan, could you put up a pic of your secondary housing including the end of the collimating screws? If it is the trifid fastar setup like my cpc925 (sounds like it is) I am interested.

I was going to get a set from bobs knobs direct as bintel don't have mine in stock.

Allan,
Sorry to jump in, but I've just fitted a set of those to the C11 fastar model.
I'd double check to see if the C11 knobs will fit the C9.25.

I reckon looking at the bobs knobs site that they should fit my 925

At $17, if Col has not bought them I will take them and hope for the best. If you pm me bank details I will transfer money by eft and pm you an address.

I have been keen to get some to replace the Phillips headed originals, the idea of waving a small, pointy screwdriver around the corrector plate in the dark fails to impress me.

No Problem, I have waited a year to get hold of some, I can wait a few more days to see if Allan's suit my scope.

Knobs have arrived thanks Allan. Be a while before I get a chance to try them and see if the C11 ones fit.
