Molonglo madness

Anyone can put a kayak in the water and go for a paddle, but where's the challenge? The aim of this trip was to find a stretch of river unknown to me and explore it in the true spirit of adventure, while praying not only for my own safety, but for some unique opportunities for wildlife photography. Well, I got both!

My wife dropped me off in the Molonglo river near the shopping centre in Queanbeyan at around 2:30pm. I didn't wear my ghillie suit this time as rivers have a tendency to have a lot of snags. Camera gear and phone in the dry-bag and off I went......

Full adventure story and more photos and video here

Enjoy!!

Great story and images Baz, well done.

Yep, I've heard the Raptors are troublesome in the area. But they keep the foxes away.
