Hello all, I have found a local guy that builds tin sheds to your specification so I am getting some ideas about building a tinnie obs.
I would like to use removable wall/ roof panels as I haven't got room for a roll off or flip off roof, so I am gathering thoughts on the best way to do this-with hinges ? or with trailer type clasps ?
It would only be the one side as the other side would be facing the house hence only roof panels needed to be removed.
I reckon I will be asking for the observing door side to be a half wall with the other half reinforced sides and roof bar and a central column , then with two sides of hinge type (swing out side ways) and the central piece drops down like a trap door?
The roof is another problem as I would like all the panels to be able to be removed (but not at same time)
Any tips before I start drawing up?
I know I will need insulation, ventilation and sun shade.
Cheers
Graham
can you get them in any size?
How noisy are they? I am a stone's throw away from neighbours and I am surprised they haven't already commented on the tarps being rustled at the wee early hours.
Interesting none the less.
Could they go down the roof then descend vertically as the wall and still remain patent?
They do come in various sizes and are quite. You would need to bend the track down so the door runs smoothly around the bend. (This may be harder than it sounds, I havn't tried). The door it self will go around a bend easily as it does when it's rolled up.
Hey, I've a slab going wanting (in-ground concrete water tank, biggest available) and am thinking I can use that as a good start for a shed obs or dome.
Graham, did have any success with your shed design?
Still waiting for the fabricator to ok my drawings, I am puzzling over the fold down walls and the slider roof.
Will post what we get in the end
Graham
