[SOLD] Philips SHC2000 Wireless Headphones

Hi Guys,

I bought these to use with my (electric) guitar practice about 6 months ago. God knows, people need to be saved from the din I make, but unfortunately, the wireless signal picked up so much hum/rubbish/noise from the guitar (presumably), that it was a non-starter. They made me sound even worse than I already am -

Hence, they are now up for grabs. They are as new, with the outer packaging as new and intact. The inside cardboard separators are not included as I could not for the life of me get them to fit in the way they were originally installed.

The phones cost me $118, although I understand you can get them a bit cheaper now. I'll be happy to take $45 plus postage - about $10. A pair of AAA size Batteries for the headphones is included, - so they'll only travel by road

They are literally as new. Been worn just once for about 30 seconds, then back in the box.

Do they exhibit the hum if you plug them into another source, like an iPod?

If they work okay from another source, I will take them.

thanks for the reply and interest.

I'm out for most of today, but I did try them briefly plugged into a TV just to check that the rubbish was to do with the guitar/amp, and they worked fine.

But I will check them using, specifically, an ipod later today and get back to you on that later today if that's ok.

Hi Peter,

I got in an hour or so ago and have tested the phones. I've only charged the batteries for an hour before testing, and now that I read the manual, it says they should really be charged for 16 hours when completely flat - as they are right now.

The phones work fine as is, - but when I walk under a fluoro light they pick up a little hiss which was perceptible over the music. But I noticed that when I move just even a little away from fluoro tube lights, the sound quality was as you'd expect it to be.

I'll leave them charging for a few hours and see if there are any changes happening when operating with fully charged batteries. How does that sound?

Hi Peter,

after an overnight charge, the difference is perceptible. The music heard from an iphone is clear and strong. If I go and put my ear, with the headphones on, next to a light switch, I pick up hum/noise. But otherwise they are fine. It's important to have the transmitter pointing generally towards you, but I walked around a huge room with no loss of signal quality.

How does all that sound Peter?
