Feb 6th -Mars above avg seeing

SPX350 F55.2, PGRFlea3, Astrodon filters.

Using 2xCelestron Ultima and 3xTv Barlows to get 19meters but I seem to get ringing. Seeing was actually steady and enough to see detail in the Red and Green but Blue was weaker. Patchy high cloud came to ruin seeing as I was looking forward to Saturn. Been having hard drive problems so may have a cable issue but got data to read on regx6 eventually.

Thanks, John

A couple of beauties there John! The 2nd image in particular looks like it has been imaged from a Mars orbiter – the tonal range and details are quite special.

Cheers

Dennis

Fantastic images, especially number two. There are so many subtle details in there and you have revealed them beautifully as usual. One of the best Mars images I have seen I think.

Thanks for the comments, seeing was pretty similar for both images but I tried lowering the gamma setting to 900 to give better contrast for the second image. I found IR742 did not catch quite as fine a detail level as the Red filter.

John.
