Weather and cicumstances have not been kind to me of late so my images have been few and far between

Hope you like this rendition

Cheers

Colour looks great and is nice and vibrant ...but, I dunno...it looks to me that your processing (minimum or errosion filter perhaps?) has ruined the details somewhat mate

Nice colors but <<-- yes a but
It looks like you have sharpened the core too much and used a noise mask on the rest too much so it looks sharp in the middle and washed out on the rest

Thanks Mike and Marty, lack of detail probably due to lack of data was a bit of a compromise actually

I thought it must be lack of data because you can see the nebulosity has step-like brightness graduations. It's all just pushed a bit hard. Shame because you've otherwise done a great job with the colours.

Cheers,
Cam

I do like how you've tried to retain as much star colour as possible Trevor. This is one aspect I am really struggling with and as such I tend to study more about how you guys present your images with good star colour.

Nice and colourful and star colours nicely retained.

Perhaps a bit overly red although it is a very red target.
Outer areas do seem overly smoothed. Noise smoothing or some other effect?

Greg.

That's a nice one Trevor. You have done a good job there although the detail is a bit washed out in the centre. I think there are very few places in Australia where the weather has been kind lately.

Cheers

Steve

Nice one Trevor, I agree however on the loss of details perhaps due to excessive filtering (minimum and noise reduction I guess). A tad less aggressive processing perhaps would produce a more natural image. Color are spot on though, so thumb up for that
