I was browsing a site and stumbled upon touch screen LCD's. In particular, a nice 19" one for $1250ish.
Imagine having a touch screen LCD in your observatory/setup so you can just point and touch to control the setup. No clumsy mouse to reach for etc. I know that in my setup it's be really useful to have mounted on a wall near the telescope for when focussing and watching the image being refreshed etc. How neat would that be.
I wonder if you could put a red filter over it and still use it. Not a problem if not, as the old clunky 14" CRT I use now doesn't have a filter, but I wonder anyway.
I think this'll take place as cool gadget #1 on my wishlist for a while, never to eventuate
Roger.
