Jupiter 18th March

This was taken on Saturday morning, 18th March, in average seeing. I only stayed up for 30 minutes, took 6 avi's, and it turned out the first was the best.. the seeing deteriorated after that.

What's interesting about this image is the new white spot that's formed on the border of the NTrZ and the NEB, captured here just before it rotates across the CM! It doesn't appear in any of my previous images of that face.
Heaps of turbulence in the SEB still.

This image was captured at 5fps, with the 900nc firmware mod and the Optimised Colour macro drivers. All of my images lately have been taken using these mod(s) to the ToUcam, I just forgot that I'd set it so I forgot to mention it.

Not my best, thanks to the seeing, but an interesting new feature to look at anyway.

Hi Mike, nice capture, that white spot sure stands out. I had a look back on some my recent shots to see if it was there.

The one's below are from the 10th of March and show the spot, but perhaps not as large or as defined as on yours.

Just been having a hunt through the archives, and it does appear back on 12/2 and a few others.

As you say, seeing is the limiting factor here. I am crook home in bed, so I can't get the extension piece away today for you to have a play with.

nice shot DP, shows how far Red Jnr has rotated, since it's not visible in my image (just rotated off).

White spot was visible 16 March as seen in thumbnail (just off to LHS)
