Small Refractor

I am after a small refractor which I can take on a trip overseas with me for some simple visual astronomy.

I am completely open to any suggestions/offers as I am simply after a small refractor that is portable and thus I can easily take on a plane and walking about with me during my travels.

I have no fixed view on brand, age, doublet/triplet or even if it is a Semi-APO. I would however prefer to avoid Achro's

If you have anything suitable that you might consider selling please send me a PM.

Thank you for looking at my listing.

Forgot to mention - anything that comes with some sort of carry bag or case would be ideal

Just to clarify - I don't have any particular scope in mind - just something smallish - typically 80/90mm or less

Hi Peter I have a Stellarvue 80mm f/5,6 Aplanat , its a semi apo with a lense of lanthium glass , number 109 of 150 made it has excellent optics , almost as good as my ed80 and with its sliding dew shield its airline frendly .
Its yours for $180 + postage if you want .
Just one thing this scope was in the Christchurch earth quakes last february and has a small dent in the dew shield , I will send you a photo if thats a problem , this does not effect its performance , one more thing , its a beautiful pearl white in colour and looks so sexy.
PM me .
Brian .

Yes - still open to any offers or suggestions - just to repeat from my initial post - I am primarily after something for some simple visual astronomy and would be easily portable such as onto a plane. Beyond these two points I don't have any fixed ideas and will consider any brand from something basic to any top shelf brand.

Thanks again for the suggestion of the ST80 but I decided to myself if I am going to go through the trouble of carrying a scope around with me overseas I would like it to be at least a little better than an achro - so I am after something that is at least a Semi-Apo or Apo

I was thinking of keeping it simple with either a good camera tripod or perhaps splash out with a telepod. But it first really depends of whether I can actually find something.

Thanks Peter but I am not too certain about the portability aspect of an ED80 especially if doesn't have a sliding dew shield.
