Years ago I led groups of soldiers and friends through a couple of canyons in Sydney, but haven't had much opportunity to revisit them in all this time. I've missed them terribly. Now my son is a chip off the old block and is a qualified outdoor adventure leader. I visited him this morning and asked if he knew any nice canyons. After a hearty cafe breakfast of bacon, sausages, eggs, toast and cappuccino, we set off for Empress Canyon in Sydney's Blue Mountains.
