Alnitak and Alnilam in H-alpha

Evenin' all,
First clear weather for a very long time, so time to re-aquaint myself with the gear. The filterwheel was a non-starter, so it was an evening with just the Ha filter as the moon was overwhelming everything. Rather than argue with Alnilam when the horse is feeling photogenic, its included in this family portrait. Only 100 min in 10 min subs, so a little grainy.

Scope: AstroTech 65-EDQ, ST8300M camera. Processed in DSS, Pixinsight and Photoshop.

Full size is here

Astrobin also provides all the astrometric info for the image as well.

Hi Keith,

Great photo.

I really like all the deatil and the composition.

Monochrome Ha shots always look great.

Ross.

Thanks Ross,
I agree, the mono versions have that stark quality.
Thankyou for the comments.

Regards
Keith
