Have this on a local auction site, but thought I'd broadcast it here too, just in case any Kiwis viewing this site miss it on the other.
12.5" home-built truss newt dob. The ideal "do anything" scope. Big enough to go deep and dark, but sized such that you can transport it and set it up without help. A great starter scope as well, OK, maybe a bit big for a starter, but you could start with it.
Home-built. Timber is plywood, varnished. Truss tubes are aluminum, and the connectors top and bottom are Moonlite, arguably the best system. Focuser is a dual speed Moonlite, brand new.
Mirror is a "Hubble-Optics" 12.5" f5 primary, and has a bit of dust etc on it. Finder-scope is an 8x50. Scope has seen a bit of use but not too much and is just too close to my "had forever" 10" f5 to keep. Someone will get many years of enjoyment from this, it really works nicely.
Given it's size, buyer to arrange pickup, or shipping. While of course it "could" be shipped to Oz, I seriously doubt this is an option.
Got it listed with a start/reserve of NZ$1750.
