Great to see your fine artwork getting the attention it deserves, congratulations. Visual astronomy is alive and well and so is the art of sketching.

thanks all for your replies....
jjj emailed me a sketching book so i'm looking forward to reading that..i find with sketching that it is trial and error,and doing different ways of applying the pastel for the best result your after...i have so many different ways going through my head............and it's raining again dooohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

no andrew i didn't want to over crowd the sketch,i was trying to get the feel of how big i could see it in the sky!!!!with a hint of milkyway above crux very lightly added as twilight was coming..

Congratulations Mozzie,
It's a beautiful sketch and well deserved, and what a rewarding experience that must be!
Now your family have got no excuse to call you in at night- you can tell them you are on the road to fame and need to make your next big contribution. I can hear it now.. Mozzie to family: "Please serve breakfast to a hungry and tired astronomer at 5am pls, solar observing now calls. Just make sure they don't throw at you.  They would to me.
