Nice catch Andrew
I have never seen one of those and it almost look like a real tornado.
Love the way it just vanishes into nothing.

That is very cool. Do you do storm chasing by yourself or as part of a group?

I mostly go alone, don't take kids because of the dangers, and I dont usually go with other people because I like going alone, makes making the wrong decision easier.

Cool work Andrew. I was going to head out that way at one stage but Christmas preparations meant chasing locally in the end. I really like the rotation of this cloud, very nearly a touch down.

Jen you just have to follow the basic rules of storm chasing. It is very fun but can be dangerous too.

Thats what I was like when I had a supercell thunderstorm roar over the top of me Really scary, I was luckier than those in Whyalla though, I was further South. If I had stayed where I was, near Pt Pirie, I would have felt it a little more...

It's quite an experience getting your car slammed by 100+km/h winds, torrential rain and hail stones that could kill you if you got out of the car. Not a place anyone should be deliberately.

The funnel cloud occurred after all the storms had passed funnily enough, it formed on the back end of them all. Strange setup.
