Moon through DSLR

After imaging Jupiter a few nights ago, I though I would try the moon using the "Webcam" approach. It came out well with some nice detail.

I also managed to take a HD movie (1920 x 1080) which I might try and turn into a poster.

Moon through DSLR

I ended up taking the HD image (1920 x 1080) from last Thursday night to the printers on Friday and they printed it out on A2 as a poster for $40. The print quality is amazing - it is like a huge photo.

Anyway, attached is another image from tonight. According to the moon widget on the iceinspace page, it is a 61% waxing gibbous.

You're in luck ! The next full moon is a total lunar eclipse.

I hope to image if it's not cloudy.
