Apologies-New Gear...

Sorry guys, but I just got my first batch of accessories in the post since buying my scope a few months ago. Might explain the weather around Newcastle...

I've got a GSO 12" Dob and now the owner of a ED 2X barlow, a Laser Collimator (desperate for this), and a GSO Nebula Filter.

I just had a whirl at collimating and its quite easy once you know what you are doing.

On another note, Andrews took nearly 3 months to finally send me this gear and it took a few emails from me chasing them up to get them to explain why it was taking so long. They are a nice bunch of guys but that isn't really a substitute for service IMO. All it takes is a quick phone call. It just seems to me like they are a couple of staff short because they loose track of things and seem quite busy. I was planning this to be my own birthday present but that was back in September... I guess you get what you pay for.

be careful of the laser collimator, put it in your eye piece holder and spin it around if it doesn't stay in one spot then youll need to collimate the collimator! don't worry its not specific to your brand, unless you are paying 200 odd dollars.
