Hi all, just interested to see if any takers for this Saturday night 19th.
Moonage doesn't come up until about 1:50 on Sunday morn.
OK all you closet astro people, dust off the scope and lob.
See yaz there. Weather at this stage looks reasonable.

I laughed when I read this. My 12" lightbridge arrived on Friday.

Will see you there.

Ill be there.. but scopeless.
Had the hernia operation last week, all went well.. no lifting for a couple of weeks at least.. so me, not having a scope there, should keep the weather fine and some huge, world stopping, astronomical event should happen while we are there lol.

Hi all,
Went for a ride up to the Pony Club this morning.
Pleased to report that it is still there.
Also, the gate can be opened with our key.
No building work was being performed, all the fences and gates have been erected.
Hard to tell if the Clubhouse has been finished, as it was locked of course, and our key does not open the locks on any of the doors. But all seemed to be finished from what I could see.

Access to the main observing field can be had through a big new gate just before the clubhouse. The "back" access we used to take is also again open to traffic if your preference lies in that direction.

I am hoping our wise one can convince pony club management to allow us to have a key to access the clubhouse facilities. It would be nice to be able to warm a pie and brew a cuppa again (like the good ole days).
At the very least, could you please organise a key for us to access to the Toilet facilities? Please?

As for this Saturday, I am working towards getting there. The forcast looks tempting but not overly. Clear skies with increasing cloud after 10pm, may be dewey. (Huey and Luey undecided )

Actually, the graphic indicates that FRIDAY could be the better choice if anyone is interested?

Hmmmmm....
Wonder if hauling the scope around had anything to do with it?

Take it easy Andrew.

I have a carfull of interested newcomers who want to come up - probably the "get lost in the dark" and "get bitten by the mozzies" types? We'll make the call tomorrow afternoon re the weather Saturday night.

Probably cannot do Friday night.

I've got a key Eric, along with several others. I'm looking to get there between 6:30 and 7:00. Some others with a key may want to get there a little earlier to set up though.

I may try for both nights.
A few other variables in the mix so no guarantee.

Clear tonight, but those blue dots on B Panel mean "Very Wet".
I guess that is what Fog is represented by.
I thought it meant DEW.
Possibly both.

Looks good at the moment though.
