Huge Solar Prominence Yesterday (5/11/11)

Huge solar prominence on the sun yesterday. I really want to have a whole day of just taking images of the sun so I can produce a timelapse of all the changes, but I had to go out in the afternoon so I only did one image in the morning before I had to get ready. I have included a scaled Earth to give you an idea just how big that prominence was.

Cheers

Greg

Thanks for the capture. I spotted remnants of the flare as it was dissipating.
