Jupiter Oct 29th full GRS transit animation

Hi All,

Has been a most enjoyable time out here with Bird & Paul, looks like some good conditions coming our way later this week.

Have posted 1 RGB & 1 807nm IR data set from Oct 29th plus a link to an animation of the complete transit of the GRS. NOTE that the animation is 7.2 Mb. The animation has 8 images in it and represents close to 5 hrs of rotation.

Thanks for looking.
Regards
Trevor

Wow, very smooth and detailed. Was the seeing that good for the five hours, or is the IR less susceptible to poor seeing (or both)? If you don't mind me asking, how did you process the animation? Sorry for the questions!

Thanks very much Paul, still coming to terms with WinJUPOS, it does an amazing job. Each animation gets a little easier, it really is something that you need to experiment with.

Thanks very much Dave, the IR handles variations in seeing much better than RGB so provided reasonable data for the length of the animation. The animation was created in WinJUPOS by making cylindrical projection maps of each image and then wrapping them around a sphere.
