Jupiter & moon

Normally I wouldn't have bothered posting this image, but I've been trying to capture Jupiter & some moons for awhile now & only succeeded last monday morning. Seeing was shocking & very dewy.

Terrible colours on Jupiter itself....I was trying something different with the saturation versus the white balance on the toucam settings.

Pumped the gain to 80% & 60% gamma.

I'm happy I got a moon in there though! Actually I got 2 moons but accidentally cropped it out & saved!

6" refractor & toucam.

Not too sure Kearn, Dave P, Mike & a lot of others Capture moons fairly regularly. Put it this way, it was hard for ME to capture! But that's possibly because I use 6" of aperture rather than 9.25" & upwards like them.

EDIT: Sorry mate, not sure which moon it is but someone could probably tell us?

Hey Asi don't know why you wouldn't have wanted to post this, the colour's not ideal but the detail is excellent . Seeing must have been pretty good?

Great work mate!

No! I won't do it to ya! Your all too nice!

Seriously though, I'm pleased that you all like it. Yeah, I'm my own worst critic when it comes to images, as I'm sure you all can relate to. I too am pleased with the detail present, just the colours that get me a bit

Clear here tonight so I'll be out there as usual trying for that ultimate AVI!

Ta all.

Good luck Asi. I'm always pretty impressed with the effort you make with the refractor. That must be something of an arm wrestle to try and work the colour.

I've got the 8" Skywatcher set up tonight to capture some Joops of my own.
