Horsey and Pleiades

Had a rare and short couple of hours with clear skies last night. Certainly didn't last long but managed to get these couple of short shots.

600D on a 8" newt on EQ6Pro, stacked in DSS and then tweaked in Photoshop.

Only 6x2min for pleiades and 18x2min for horse/flame so lots of noise, Bloody weather...

Not bad Ken with the colours and tracking seems to be not too bad but in true DSLR fasion noise is a killer but we all know this anyhow!

The weather this weekend will be sterling so make sure you get out under the stars tonight

Thanks Brendan, I was hoping to use the QYH8L and guide rig but I knew that I only had a short amount of time with the weather so DSLR it was.

It total crap here this weekend, blowing 30-40km/h with cloud patches. I was even looking to driving out into to the bush and setting up but everywhere I looked the weather is crap without going more than 300km

Thanks Ross,

Have done a bit more on the Pleiades and a shot of M42 as the wind ruined any new imaging tonight.

Hi Ken,

Looks good.

A lot more nebulosity in the Pleiades shot.

I love all the detail in the Orion photo.

Ross.

Good collection Ken, That Orion is my favourite, less noise, the colors are great, a nice subtle appearance overall yet holding clear detail.
Top stuff !
