WO 98 FLT question

Hi

My mate just got a WO 98 FLT. Its got a digital focus readout.

The readout is blue, not red/amber.

I thought red was our dark adapted friend and everything else was detrimental.

Blue not Red...why is that?

thx

Erg

Blue backlighted LCD's are the trend at the moment, everything has them, and they are easy to get hold of. Red backlighted LCD's are a lot harder to get hold of, and cost more.

That said, I think it's ludicrous for an astro-maker to put a blue backlight in their product rather than red, just to save s couple of bucks.

Cheers,
Jason.

I may be wrong but I have seen reviews that have the backlight red on the DDG...are you sure you cannot select a red backlight?

Email William Yang or ask on the WO yahoo group. If it's a backlight then the LEDs can be changed.

Generally they can't be changed, they are built in to the LCD panel.

It may of course be an RGB panel, in which case you may be able to change the colour via a menu. Does the DDG have any settings menu's?

Cheers,
Jason.
