Image Stacking issues

Hey all,

After coming home from IISAC 2011 i have been wanting to see the results of my photography. However i have been having a few issues.
When i stack the images, (if Deep sky stacker doesn't crash, and when it doesn't it takes an hour to stack the images.......) the end result is either VERY light and noisy, or just black, and it sometimes even has black with stars but no galaxy or nebula (even when they are visible in the single frame). I haven't had this issue before with my other images. The program also keeps frustratingly crashing (I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and also tried repairing). I have also tried RegiStax and i cant even get that to work as it come up with a memory error.
Any feedback/help would be greatly appreciated

Might I suggest removing your current version and replacing it with DSS 3.3.3 Beta 37.
It's the second download link on the page.

Next time I hope to be a fixture at the southern Star Parties.
This camp I spent most of the daylight hours resting. ( the drive left me quite exhausted ) I didn't even make it to Alex's sketching class which I was looking forward too.
