Baader MPCC with 6.3 focal reducer assistance please

Just wanted to know if anyone has used the Baader MPCC with a focal reducer on an SCT. I have a Meade LX200 10" at f10 and use a Focal Reducer F6.3. I have been getting some coma in the shots that seems worse towards the image edge. I know that the MPCC is for a Newtonian but have been told they work well on the SCT also. However this may be the case with lower F Ratio LX200's that do not need to use the focal reducer. I am also concerned about adding extra Glass in the focal plane.

Any assistance would be great before I decide to purchase the Baader MPCC.

Hi Martin,
Have you got this distance correct from the CCD to the back of the Focal Reducer? If this is out you will still get coma. What camera are you using?

I was using a Canon 350D with my old LX200 and f/6.3 Focal Reducer and the applied distance from the Cmos/CCD to the back of the FR had to be close to 105mm.

Thanks Paul... I will try some movement of the focal reducer to see if that inproves things a little.. I currently have at the back of the scope on the visual back. I have a QHY8 Camera attached after the Mead
Electronic focus... I really just wanted to see if anyone had use the Baader Coma Corrctor in combo with the focal reducer as most LX200's other than the ACF models always have some coma and I would like to get rid of this if I could.. I have use some software to remove and that helps, but not having it in the first place is always a better option...

Funny really as I am only just starting to get good images from my scope and allready I am wanting them better and better LOL... Thier goes my cash
