Holy Moses! I had no idea!!

Whilst looking for ideas as to how to turn my small shed into a flip top I stumbled across this site.

http://observatory.org//install.htm

I was gob smacked at the amount and complexity of the gear assembled on various scopes. Had no idea that there were rotatable turrets for scopes. I guess you learn something every day. From this day forward I'm referring to myself as an amateur amateur astronomer.

Cheers
Stephen

Those rotatable eyepiece set ups are probably ideal for six people looking through the scope at the same time.

Wow after having a good look at this site I think I need a very very cold shower.
If this isn't the mother load of amateur Astro Porn then it must be close.
Thanks for the link Stephen.

Ken.

Thanks! I'm going to show that site to my wife. "See, darling. I've been very restrained in my spending"

Hi Stephen,

It's probably worth noting the Van Slyke Engineering HEX 2 Turret and the 6 Pentax XW's hangin outta the C14 are in fact worth about as much as the C14

Cheers,
John B

And yet my 80mm refractor looked like Hubble to the local villagers in Zambia!

There will always be a bigger and better scope out there... and my budget will always be too small!
