Ice Boxes

Thinking of buying something better than an esky

I've heard that the OuterMark brand sold at Bunnings are rubbish and one of the best is TechniIce sold online

Any camper 4 wheelers got any preferences out there

Evakool (fibreglass) or Icekool (poly). Have one of their fridges which is essentially an esky with attached compressor. Expensive, but very good quality.

I was talking about their non-fridge versions.

I can also recommend Evakool ice boxes. I've had block ice last up to 14 days in my old one.

I bought one of these a year or so back for around $100 discounted
they do normally sell for the price listed there.

didn't really expect a lot , but it does a great job and holds ice well.
What i do like about it is the recessed latches and handles , my
old ice boxes latches eventually gave out through getting banged into stuff not to mention now and then catching on the odd passing leg
or stray bit of fishing line.

the rubber feet I've found can pullout if the box is dragged for to long but thats more bad treatment than a real problem.

'Coleman' for me.
I have one that my parents got in 1956!
All Aluminum build.
Still works fine.

Hmmmnnn...
How about "IceInSpace" Eskies?
Seems pretty obvious really.

In w.a contact campbells wholesale on 9353 3354 they import a couple of brands that are good and wholesale to retailers, they are in kewdale, go and have a look, their brands are "icelander" and "big chill". they are full rotomolded body with stainless hinges. if you offer cash they will probably do a deal at wholesale you should get it a fair bit cheaper
regards brad
