How long should i record planets?

hi guys, i just bought the DBK21 camera (colour cam) and im wondering how long should i record for? Can i just press record and come back in 10 mins and turn it off?

It depends on the planet.

For Jupiter and Mars, usually about 2 minutes. Any more than that, and the features start rotating.

For Saturn, when there's no features like a storm, then yeh, 10 minutes will be fine
