M42 started.

I have started imaging M42 and here is the preliminary bad result
The weather here in Melbourne is pretty bad for imaging at the moment and clouds move in whenever they want
So here is the start (needs lots more shorter and longer exposures).
Did i mention it was very windy???
Guiding was appalling.

ED80, QHY9M, Losmandy G11 with G2.
LRGB 60 Seconds each X 6 Luminance 8 X 100 Seconds.

Nice start Martin. Can I ask if you are using a LP filter. Reason is it does look a bit purple. The brown surrounding dust even looks a bit on the purple/magenta side.

Great start on a very hard object.

Off to a good start, not bad considering the local weather, I suspect just one of your luminance frames has an eggy star, part from that

Nice start Marty, I'm surpried you can actually see the sky mate, too many clouds rolling around.

Thanks Doug I don't use a LP filter, the color is off because i had to throw away lots of color frames and now have to see if i can get all the frames balanced again.

Thanks Darren
I have to throw away too many frames because of these stupid clouds.
Clear as a bell one second and overcast the other
