I recently looked after a friends house for a few days, this mostly involved keeping the cat and dog amused and/or fed (for the dog, one and the same)
The cat seemed impressed with my ancient IBM laptop, considering the keyboard much more comfortable to walk on than the house owners Dell.
It's second most enjoyable (for the cat) activity was to wake me up at least once a night by sitting on my chest and meowing loudly until I responded. It was too dark to see the smirk on the cat's face but I know it was there.

Twas to make sure you were still alive.......
As much as I was appreciative of that fact........I could have done without it on certain recovery sleeps after a big night out.......!!!!!!!

A Marriage or a Relationship
One of many ditties my wife receives from her acquaintances somewhat related to this topic .....
If you want someone who will eat
whatever you put in front of him
and never say it's not quite as good as his mother's
at any hour,
for as long and wherever you want ....
never touch the remote,
doesn't care about football,
and can sit next to you as you watch romantic movies
to get on your bed just to warm your feet
and whom you can push off if he snores
doesn't care if you are pretty or ugly, fat or thin, young or old, who acts as if every word you say is
especially worthy of listening to, and loves
you unconditionally, perpetually ..
who will never come when you call,
ignores you totally when you come home,
leaves hair all over the place, walks all over you,
runs around all night and only comes home to eat and sleep, and acts as if your entire existence
is solely to ensure his happiness ...
marry a man, didn't you?
Send this to all the women you know to brighten their day.....
Send this to all the men

     :rofl :
I laughed so hard that my tummy hurt and I got really hot all over .
Just last week I was thinking it was time for another feel good cat thread
Thanks Mike!
My favourite one and the one I laughed so hard particularly over is the first one: cat vs internet. I can relate to this rather well actually.
So if you don't mind, may I share with you one of my cat stories regarding cat vs internet?
Here goes (I have two Burmese cats, named Phoebe & Chai)...
It was a good night to observe so out I go. Nothing else mattered.
Came inside around 12.30am to check something on lap top maintaining one eye closed.
Been grocery shopping that day- groceries bags all lined up against the wall and not put away- as I said, nothing else mattered.
Head buried in lappy screen, I hear rustling noise in shopping bags.
I ignore.
Cats running backwards and forwards across lappy.
I ignore.
More rustling noise in bag.
More ignoring.
Eventually I hear a bag being dragged half way across the kitchen.
I remain ignoring.
Eventually, I hear cardboard being ripped apart in said shopping bag.
This now gets my attention.. What tha?
I forgot to feed the poor cats before I went out. Now famished at 1.30am, Chai took it upon himself to sort his own dinner out. He dragged the shopping bag which contained his dry food in the middle of the kitchen to say, "will you feed me please". But I wasn't listening. So eventually he said, "well #$%@! you I'll get it myself.

Hi Bart
That cat in the tub looks like a Turkish Van, they are notorious water lovers and very good swimmers. Apparently their fur repels water.
You have to be careful though as they have been known to jump straight into hot baths and showers.
