Mt Cook by moonlight

... by the light of a silvery full moon, with Jupiter and Orion rising nicely.

FWIW this is straight out of my LX5 (its a compact, not a DSLR).

Niiice. From the Hermitage, I take it?

I just got back from there today.

I did a similar shot the last time I went and made some star trails under the light of the full Moon. Looked great!

That's a great image.

Jupiter and Orion really set it off nicely.
