Orbinar filters ? Any views ?

I see them on eBay at very low prices.
Get what you pay for ? Or are they a realistic option ?

Thanks

Stu

Hi Stu,

For $36 don't expect an Astronomiks, but the worst case scenario is you blow $36. It's certainly worth a run at that price and I have no doubt it will offer a noticeable improvement over the unfiltered view.

Cheers,
John B

I had a quick look the other night, during Full moon.
The $36 OIII filter is actually Very good.
I compared it to My Astronomics UHC and the difference is negligable on the targets I had available.

Totally washed out skies due to the moon and I observed :
Swan Nebula
Helix - Very Faint
Dumbbell

Really looking forward to using under better conditions
