EQ6 Power problem

G'Day All,
I have wee problem with power to my mount .After I have been using the mount for a while and ask it to move to a new site it will start move and I can't stop it. I have found that the voltage on the hand control is reading 11.5 volts but the voltage cable supplying the hand control is reading 12.5.I have been told that they are voltage sensitively if the voltage is not right they will not work ,is this true
I first though that their may have been a voltage drop over the cable but the voltage at the the battery and the cable end are the same.
It is becoming a real pain ,you get into the swing of thing then the bloody thing goes off on it's own and I have turn the the power off before it run's into the mount

No I haven't but today I went and got a amp&volt metre which will install today ,should have done this right from the start.

The EQ mounts will happily run on voltages up to 15V.
Think about adding a 140W 12V to 15V car computer transformer between the battery and the mount.
I've been running my NEQ6pro for the last couple of years that way...no issues.
I bought a Watt meter and normal operation - tracking takes about 0.6A at 12V...double slewing (max) just under 2A

G'Day mate ,
I have ask all the auto electrician in my home town for 140W 12V to 15V car computer transformer and they look at with a blank look ,and have no idea what I am talking about .
Are they know by any other name.

Just hook up the amp& volt meter on my power board in my observatory I am blown away with the amps I am drawing .
I am drawing 5 amps with the laptop and the mount and not running any thing else such as cooling fans or demister .
So now I will have to sit down and work out what size battery I will need to run all this equipment for at least 5/6 hours a night .
