Anyone got an Orion Teletrak or similar Alt Az mount?

Hi all,

Does any one have the Teletrak mount by Orion or the Skywatcher variant? How do they perform thinking of getting one for a quick goto-grab-n-go mount for an 80mm scope.

yes i have the Orion TeleTrack GoTo AZ Mount but the 80mm scope may be too long for it - the L bracket doent give you the clearance?

Thanks for your input David, do you think it would be better off as a camera platform for timelapses or panning?

Hi astroman , try Andrews , they have the GSO (astrotech) hd, alt az for $279 , I have one under my ED80 and SV Aplanat 80mm , its a perfect mount for this sized scope , sturdy and the dual slo mo controls make it a breeze to use and are very good .
Brian.

Thanks Brian for the info, but I was more after a motorised one for widefield camera platform (for meteor showers etc...) but could also double up as a portable solution to track the sun/moon with my 80mm scope. Thats why I thought of the Orion Teletrack or SW Multifunction mounts... I just wanted to see if anyone else had used it in them in this fashion and how they perform.
