Let there be light.

One of the most frustrating things about my trip to the USA was the fact that the time restraints really prevent you from the chance to capture those moments that make a picture speak a thousand words. A lot of the time I found the weather was a little difficult or it was just a case of bad timing - but theres nothing we could do and we just had to make the most of it!

This photo was certainly like those instances, however it wasn't like anything I expected to capture of the Grand Tetons in Wyoming, USA. Instead I thought I would be getting beautiful reflections of spring lakes at sunrise with perfectly clear days haha how wrong I was! It was Spring however the road south from Yellowstone had just opened..it was more of a frozen world, with no-one around closures left right and centre!

Still we were certainly not going to turn around and go back! I managed to capture this of what we could see of the Tetons:

Regardless this photo for me will always remind me of what a special place this area is in America (and motivation to go back!).

Comments, critique always welcome!

I agree, those rays breaking through the clouds really add to an already great photo.

Very nice.
