deep vdB152

I wanted to go deeper with vdB152 than my past image so I took a few nights to
collect lum and color data. Here is what I came up with:

http://www.tvdavisastropics.com/astr...s-1_0000ee.htm

I think I have invoked the law of diminishing returns. More time would mean less
as more of the background dust comes out making it harder to see the more
striking features.

All lovely images Tom but comapring the ASA and RH versions the RH is more colourful and perhaps slightly deeper in nebuolosity (?) but the ASA version looks to be slightly higher resolution with the fine structures in the neb a little more obvious and maybe shows fainter fainter stars?...not much in it, perhaps it is an illusion

Again all cracker images - just an observation

Man that is Hoovering. The colour, detail and 3D effect of the dust on the star field is fabulous. Nicely done Tom.

I agree that the ASA image has tighter stars and more detail. I believe this is because of multiple reasons: 1) RHA/FSQ had longer exposures, 2) the seeing was poor, 3) the star I chose to focus the RHA on was too bright (mag 4) thus making the Focusmax routine not as tight, 4) more aggressive stretch of the data in the RHA/FSQ image.

I know, I know .... excuses, excuses. Oh well, I'll keep trying!

Awesome colours and detail. It's amazing how much stuff is out there and you've captured it extremely well. Thanks for a nice view.
