August Photo Challenge - Entries (Post them here)

The topic this month is: "geometric".

This thread is only for posting your entries and any comments you'd like to make about your own photo.
If you would like to comment on other entries please use the comments thread.
As usual, one entry per person and the image must be your own work.
Normal forum rules and image size applies.

The image doesn't necessarily have to have been taken this month but we do encourage you to go out and enjoy the challenge.

The winner of the poll, which will be run at the end of the month, will get to choose next month's topic.

'pink curves'

Took this photo on a quick trip,only had the PS,was pleased to have a camera-as traveling light,and no room for SLR.Thought it may suit this months theme.

Complex curves

This is an oldie... unless I can come up with a better shot, this will have to do me this month.

The wear on the screw results in the surface becoming a 3D "cubic spline". Cubic splines are used in aeronautical and automotive design to produce the sleek, aerodynamic and aesthetic shapes of car and aeroplane bodies.

Sculpture I found on one of my walks near the Pioneer River. Nice lens flare too I think it is geometric in nature

Grass outside of the Shrine of Rememberence in Melbourne.

This building / area is definitely worth visiting if you are visiting Melbourne.
