Saturn Aug 19
Hi. Just finished a session imaging Saturn in above average seeing for the elevation. The jetstream got down to about 50kts and the clouds cleared just before dusk. I had been elsewhere for the day and didn't have time to properly cool the mirror, so was refocusing about every 30 seconds as it changed shape. RGB came out pretty well all considered and I think I can just see Trevor's green band in the upper hemisphere. thanks for looking. Regards Ray

Nice catch Ray. I thought about it tonight, but the seeing was below par.
Great work.

Hi John. Thanks, will now see if this air sticks around for Jupiter tomorrow am (groan).
Thanks Mark - yes was pleased to get a reasonable result at this altitude.
Thanks Rob.

Hi Dave. Thanks for the comment.
Hi Michael. I guess that's about the last of it for this site, but will keep imaging for a couple more weeks.
Thanks Andrew.

A super effort there Ray, this is certainly becoming a challenge now, a long way past opposition.
Regards

Thanks Tevor. Great fun trying to beat the odds when it's down low. Regards Ray
