M15 & Comet Garrad
Hi Guys
After some encouragement from my mate(Ross.G)I decided to have a go at my first comet,Garrad...didn't even realize It was around,so thanks for letting me know Ross.
Tracking wasn't going well so I only got 10 minutes at 1 minute sub exposures and no RGB but I'm still rapped I shot my first comet, yeah!
Shot with the ML8300 & BabyQ.
Hope you still enjoy It.

It was a great pairing wasn't it.
I had a look at it early last night through binos. It was quite easy to find and stood out well, considering how low it was.

Great shot Louie.
I tried to image it a week or so ago. But I couldn't find it at the coordinates that were in a table on the net.
Has anyone seen it recently? If the skies are clear I'd love to catch this one whilst its still around.
Greg.

Hi Louie,
Your comet photo looks great.
It's amazing the detail you got from just 1 minute exposures with your monochrome camera. I did 10 min exposures with my OSC and got less detail.
Because the comet is moving, the shorter exposures also help keep its shape "true".
Is that another object at 5 o'clock to the comet?
Thanks.
Ross.

Great combination of objects Louie, GC & Comet & PN.
The Comet's tail is about 20' long. What time was that image taken on 2/8?
Here is another image of 7094. https://picasaweb.google.com/1100488...71453471860146

Good stuff Louie!
Interesting area of the sky with the glob and some wispy bits of dust floating around just for keeping the image interesting.
Always good to try different things.. turned out well me thinks!
All the best
